As everyone at MRHS knows, Prom is this Saturday at Church Ranch Event Center with a lot of hype and chatter around it. Along with this comes Prom Spirit week and the student favorite day by far is Wednesday “Anything But a Backpack Day, “  People gave their opinions on the day and what they planned on bringing.

“ Anything but a backpack day is one of my favorite spirit days we've ever done. I’ve honestly waited all 4 years of High school for this.” Says Senior Lauren R. As in an Article mentioned earlier this year, students did not appreciate the Spirit days and thought they were “Boring”.

“ I plan on bringing a tire. I feel like not a lot of people do that but it's also funny and unique.” exclaims Senor Marcus C. “ I feel like people usually just do a suitcase or even like a stroller is super basic” He states.

“ Anything but a Backpack day is something that’s fun but also gets people involved as a community with spirit days. Our school lacks a lot of school spirit but whenever we get good fun spirit days, it brings excitement to MRHS.” Remarks Senior Cooper M.

Very common ideas for this spirit day we received were coolers, strollers, crockpots, plant pots, suitcases, trash cans and more. “ I'm going to bring a sewing machine, but I might need to bring my backpack still since everything might not fit,” states Senior Joel H.

Overall there was a lot of excitement this Spirit week specifically for anything but a backpack day, along with Prom this week it's a great week to be a student at Mountain Range High School!
