"Horror Tale" games showcase Indie devs' skills

by Lucid C.

It's common to find free browser games on websites such as CoolMathGames or CrazyGames of average quality. These sites are frequently used by budding developers to showcase their games, resulting in games with low-quality graphics, poorly developed storylines, and sloppy gameplay mechanics. However, Horror Tale stands apart from the rest. Horror Tale 1: Kidnapper and its follow-up, Horror Tale 2: Samantha, are two exceptional and underrated free browser games. These games are a testament to the talent of their developers, featuring well-designed graphics, intriguing storylines, and polished gameplay mechanics. It's time for these games to receive the attention they deserve.

Created by Euphoria Games, the Horror Tale series is about a young boy in a small town whose friend gets, you guessed it, kidnapped. It’s now up to you to solve puzzles and save your friend, all while avoiding this strange masked kidnapper.

The game's mechanics are straightforward, with standard controls such as using the WASD keys to move, interacting with objects using the E key, and crouching with the control key. However, despite its predictable gameplay, the graphics are impressive for a browser game. The attention to detail in the visuals is remarkable, with stunning colors and textures that enhance the gaming experience.

Although the plot may not be fresh, the antagonist's AI is exceptionally well-done. It adds an element of unpredictability and thrill to the game, keeping players on the edge of their seats as they navigate through a world that is both familiar and full of surprises. Overall, the game is an enjoyable and engaging experience that will captivate anyone who loves puzzle games.

Horror Tale is a compelling horror puzzle game developed by Euphoria Games, the same studio behind the popular Death Park series. What sets Horror Tale apart from its predecessor is its multiple locations to explore, an impressive voice-acting cast, and subtle nods to Euphoria's other games. The game's mechanics are reminiscent of Keplerians' games like Evil Nun and Ice Scream, where players must collect items while being chased by a dangerous individual. However, Horror Tale takes it further by introducing challenging puzzles and a spine-chilling atmosphere that keeps players on the edge of their seats. With its immersive gameplay and engaging storyline, Horror Tale is a must-play for any horror game enthusiast.

As you immerse yourself in the ongoing series, you'll find yourself on the edge of your seat, eagerly anticipating the next twist and turn. And as you approach the finale of the games, your heart will race with excitement and anticipation, leaving you yearning for more. You can't help but wonder what Euphoria Games has planned for Horror Tale 3, and what new horrors await you in the next chapter of this gripping story.
