The other day I had the most spectacular opportunity: l was given the chance to use the restrooms at Mountain Range High School. Let's just say it was fabulous and is paving the way for the future of restroom technology, atmosphere and decor.
Technology
These restrooms at Mountain Range High School are making the bathrooms fun and more sanitary. They have a mere shell of a soap dispenser rather than a whole soap dispenser so now rather than you getting pathogens off your hands and into the sink, making the restrooms more unsanitary, you keep them on your hands where it's all safe. While the toilets are “standard” tech, the food inside them make it so while relieving myself I can think about having a little snack on the side later, keeping myself satiated and ready for my next bathroom trip.
Atmosphere
During your bathroom experience at Mountain Range High School the atmosphere is immaculate. These restrooms give you everything to comfortably relieve yourself. When you first enter the bathroom the first impression you get is of the scented smoke clouds giving you a taste of blueberry, strawberry, cotton candy. I really hope that they add Hawaiian Breeze to the list of sensory experiences that you get as you walk in. Sometimes you run into a group ofpeople passing around a USB Flash drive and putting it into their mouth, but it just adds to the communal atmosphere. During certain times of the day and you're in the stall you might just get a random violent knock on the stall door, making the bathroom experience slightly ominous, ambient fluorescent mood lighting notwithstanding.
Decor
The restrooms keep you feeling welcome well into your visit. The beige gray bricks make you feel right at home, bringing back fond memories of youth, complemented by the grayer stalls making a great contrast between the two of them. The wall decorations on the stalls and the walls make messages, ask patrons survey questions (IYKYK). Some are painted on, making the artist's work even more prevalent and worthy of analysis. They are even some temporary art exhibits, like the brown streak against the wall that was eventually removed.
Overall the Mountain Range bathrooms are a prime example of doing a bathroom right, an innovation of the entire bathroom industry. Hopefully it reflects the way public facilities are done everywhere, making our experience here universal.
