The Mountain Range baseball team is ready to start after a long week of tryouts, which is finally over. Mountain Range coach Micheal Polson is so ready to start this season that he said, “The hard part is over; now it's time to get to work.”
Mountain Range baseball had a record of 3-20 in the 23-24 season in the 5A Front Range league. For the 24-25 season Mountain Range moved to 5A/4A Rocky Mountain League where they will play their first game at home on Thursday, March 6th at 4 o'clock pm against Adam City High School.
The Mustangs lost 7 seniors since last season, leaving only a few seniors for this 24-25 season. Although the seniors playing this year are ready to leave a mark on the field for their last season wanting to leave a good legacy behind for a new look at the Mountain Range Baseball program as does new coach Micheal Polson, a former student and player.
For many teams, the beginning of the season is about funding their rhythm, with a mix of new players and returning players. The first few weeks often feature a combination of growing pains and moments of brilliance.
Beyond the wins and the losses, Micheal Polson only wants to give the kids a taste of what hard work can get you, hoping to shine through all these past years and make a difference in work ethic on and off the field.
As Mountain Range takes small steps working for their goals, the team prepares to take the field for the first time this season hoping for a strong start for the 24-25 season.
