A Senior Class Trip is something almost all seniors look forward to. From going to places such as Florida, California, or even Mexico. It is something that has been done for decades. Unfortunately MRHS Class of 2026 doesn’t have a trip planned for their Seniors.

Class trips are supposed to benefit the seniors and help bring them closer together. ” Our class doesn’t really bond as a class anymore. We just all have our own groups but if we had a trip it would bring us closer together because we learn new things about each other on the trip,” claims Jessie L. “ I heard Legacy is going to Mexico, why can’t we do something similar?”

Many students even came up with places they would’ve liked to go: Florida, Mexico, Cancun, Miami, Europe, even the Mountains.

"Our class doesn’t care enough about the little things,”says Gianni W. when giving his opinions on the topic.” Another anonymous student states, "Maybe student government should have or still can try to set something up?”

Support for a class trip is strong. Among some of the other responses from MRHS Seniors:

“ I think we should have set up a trip, it creates memories forever for us and is something everyone should experience.” - Cooper M.

“ I think we should so we can all have fun together before going our separate ways after.” - Carlos L.

“ I think that it’s a good way to end the year off because most of us are going away for college and we won’t see each other again. I think that being able to have a good time together one last time is important.” - Leah S.

“ I know our school does have different EF tours that teachers host, but those tours are often much more expensive and I feel like a senior trip is a lot more special and meaningful for the students. It would be a much more rewarding trip to spend time with the people I’ve known the last four years one last time before college.” - Venus T.

Overall many MRHS seniors want to just have an enjoyable time with their classmates. As seen from these responses, Class of 2026 does feel like they should do some form of a trip even if it's small now. Time is running out for some folks to step up and make it happen.
