In the summer of 2026 Mountain Range High School is planning a trip to take students across the globe to visit Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand.
Mountain Range will be teaming up with EF Educational Tours to make this trip possible. EF Educational Tours has been playing a big role for over 55 years for school trips and they believe travel is for everyone and want students to see the world beyond the classroom. This trip to Asia will last about two weeks with the chance to see some culture change and historical monuments all over the three countries.
Mountain Range Social Studies teacher Aimee Benimeli says, “I think travel is a very important part of life experience.” She is the one of the teachers at Mountain Range that will be going and playing a big part to make this trip happen along with Christine Munzer who is also a Social Studies teacher at MRHS.
These two teachers hope to get as many students from MRHS as they can to come and join them on this trip. Benimeli states, “If you start traveling young it teaches you a sense of responsibility that also fosters curiosity and desire to explore and discover new things.” She wants all students to have a chance at going to learn life lessons and expand out of their comfort zones and try things.
The teacher claim they want all students that go to experience something like no other and get to see things they never get to see. “A lot of cultural experiences which include seeing local fishing villages and local markets and floating villages. We are going to see historical stuff like the Cu Chi Tunnels from the Vietnam War and also some Buddhist temples,” Benimeli states. She also believes this trip is one of a kind: "It's not just historical places that we will be going to. We are also gonna spend a couple days at a beach in Thailand.” she adds.
“It’s a good chance to experience the world,” says MRHS Senior Cody M. who has gone on a similar trip with the school last year when they visited Germany. “And everything is taken care of for you, so you don't have to worry about what to do or where to go, you just go with the flow. I got to meet and hangout with people from my school who I've never met before and it was really fun,” he adds.
As far as last year's trip, Benimeli adds “There were some people that didn't even know each other and now after the trip they became good friends and have stories and memories they share together forever.”
