Get ready to get colorful! Freshman Student Government is inviting students, teachers, and their families to join Mountain Range High Schools annual Color Run. It will take place on Friday, May 16th, 2025, after school from 3:30 to 5:30pm.
Participants will gather at the patio outside the school's cafeteria, where the event will begin. The run is free for anyone who brings their own t-shirt, for those who didn't, t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event for $5. Donations are also welcome.
There is no need to register beforehand, students can simply show up on the day of this event and sign up at the school. Attendees should show up prepared to get messy because color powder will be tossed throughout the run. The course will take participants about 3 laps around the school. Not only is the event a fun way to celebrate the end of the school year, it also supports a meaningful cause. According to freshmen Connor and Wyatt, the Color Run is being held in support of the Special Olympics .
“You get to have fun and run, we get to throw color on you. And you’ll look cool at the end.” stated Wyatt. “ We wanted to benefit a cause we liked because we have friends who would like to participate in sports but are excluded, so we think it will be fun for them.”
For any questions or any additional information, students, parents, and teachers can contact Sheila Kwilasz at kwi028786@adams12.org or Samantha Babin at bab028623@adams12.org.
