Introducing MRHS Journalism 2025 - 2026: Seniors

Here is the 2026 senior class of Journalism Students!!

Eric D. is a passionate senior student athlete at MRHS ready for the next step in life. Eric wanted to take Journalism to finally have time to enjoy writing. Eric found his way into playing football in his junior year after his struggles during his freshman and sophomore year playing basketball. When Eric was younger he always wanted to pursue basketball and that carried all through his childhood. Later on in high school he gave up on the dream of playing basketball at a high level, but still enjoys playing basketball with his friends. Eric is always hanging out with family and when he is not with his family he is out with his friends, always having something to do, never having any downtime. Eric is looking forward to making his senior year the best year of high school, making every last memory in high school count. He wants to be able to succeed on the football field with his teammates for one last time for his last 10 final guaranteed games. Eric enjoys watching college football and the NFL on the weekends during his weekend downtime. He always looks forward to watching Kentucky work their way through the SEC, or watching the Phoenix Suns go to work and win games. Eric is always willing to try new things. Jenasiz G. loves music and lives off of any form of caffeine. Jenasiz is a senior at Mountain Range High School where she is a part of student    government. She enjoys English and thought journalism would be a fun addition to her schedule. Jenasiz fell in love with writing when she was ten years old she wrote a short story about “The Boy And the Moon” and realized her imagination can be brought to life. You can usually find her with her friends who will tell you Jenasiz is passionate about the things she loves which includes music, movies, drawing, and true crime. Dawn H. is a senior whose awareness of anything trendy is non-existent due to the excessive amounts of info on fictional universes she knows. She has no idea what to think about her last year of high school. She is taking a lot more risks with classes than any other year of high school. Dawn has always considered herself somewhat of a storyteller trying to tell stories though any medium possible dipping her feet into writing and jumping into film. Dawn spends her free time thinking of scripts to write (that she will probably never write) playing some 20 year old game or driving around slowly breaking her poor car. Dawn has a cat who's either the piece holding her together or driving her insane. Dawn has been a member of the Mountain Range High School marching band for all 4 years of high school She’s dedicated to becoming a better writer before walking up the stairs at CU in May.

Cooper M. is a dedicated senior at Mountain Range High School who loves to get involved with anything. This is his first year as a journalism student and he can't wait. He is a student athlete who is involved in cross country, basketball, and track in the spring. Cooper loves to write, watch, and read about sports in his free time. He is very passionate about sports and even hopes to pursue a career with something involved with sports. Cooper is usually a very busy student athlete even outside of school. Whether that's hanging out with friends or out supporting many different sports around the school and having school spirit in the student section. Cooper also loves photography and videography and has a big passion for it. You will usually see him on the sidelines at football games taking pictures for the team. He started almost two years ago with photography and videography and has grown so much over the years and hopes to continue with it through college. Cooper loves to hang out with friends and they usually go play basketball at the local recreation center, sometimes go to the pool, and most of the time like to get together if there is a big sports game on. He also is a big family guy who spends a lot of time with his family and his dog Chewy. Cooper is very creative and loves to learn new things and expand his life. Quang P. is a senior at Mountain Range High School who spends his days juggling volleyball practices, shifts at work, and the endless tide of school assignments. Reading and writing were never his favorite until he realized they could be just like sports: challenging at first, but rewarding once you find your rhythm. Now, he approaches the page with the same persistence he brings to the court. When he is not on the court or on the job, Quang enjoys sharing laughs with his friends, FPS games, and exploring new music. He admires authors like William Shakespeare for their ability to turn something so simple into something so complex. Quang believes that creativity can show up anywhere, whether it be on the page, in the game, or in real life. Austin R. is a well rounded person in the classroom and as well as out of it at Mountain Range. Austin is a student athlete with lots of ambition to make things a reality. Although some people think Austin doesn't take care of things in the classroom  they have him all wrong. Austin is looking to find a way in journalism and to make many more connections with people. Whether Austin is playing sports, helping his teammates, or helping his family out, Austin is always constantly on the move. Austin's writing influences started from things such as the book Fences and Gatsby, because of the story and how it relates to some of his daily life. But when he isn't on the go, some random facts that most people didn't know about Austin are that he cooks , he camps, and he does like to draw. But what most people do know about Austin is that he does play sports such as football, baseball and wrestling, but his favorite of them all is football.
